Toronto Molson Indy 1997

This year, I had the pleasure of attending the Toronto Molson Indy in its entirety.  I had tickets for Grandstand 32 (on Turn 2), which being at the Bronze level of tickets, only set me back $65 for the 3 days.  Not bad...  With a couple rolls of film and some earplugs and a couple of friends, I had a grand time.  Unfortunately, due to flight schedules, I had to leave on race day with 15 minutes left in the race to make it to Pearson on time to fly back to Ottawa.   That meant I left right after Greg Moore was bumped by an errant (in my opinion) Alex Zanardi, and slid along the wall coming to a stop almost directly in front of our seats. And to top it all off, the flight was delayed by 45 minutes (grrrr).

This year, I decided to do something smart, and put both rolls of film onto a PhotoCD when I got them developed.  I knew I would be scanning them all anyways, so this saved me a lot of time.  As I took two rolls of film, I decided to split the resulting web pages into two.  One for each film.  As each of these pages ended up with on the order of 30 images (from 24 pictures), it is likely more managable this way anyways.  The pictures are shown in chronological order.

In case anyone was wondering, these pictures were taken with a Minolta Freedom Memory Maker II using Fuji ASA 400 film.

So without further ado, here are the pictures:

Film 1 of 2  (Friday through Mid-Saturday)
Film 2 of 2  (Mid-Saturday through Race Day with about 15 laps to go)
